PLM Teamcenter Engineer - REMOTE
Position Overview
As a PLM Teamcenter Engineer focused on digital thread and digital twin enablement, you will lead the integration of product data across mechanical, electrical, and software domains to support real-time traceability, simulation, and lifecycle intelligence. Your work ensures that every configuration—from CAD models to embedded software—is accurately represented, versioned, and linked across systems, enabling predictive insights and mission-critical readiness for autonomous surface vessels.
Core Responsibilities
+ Establish and maintain digital thread continuity across PLM, CAD, MES, ERP, and software repositories to ensure traceable, interoperable product data.
+ Support the creation and maintenance of digital twins by ensuring configuration baselines are complete, validated, and synchronized across physical and virtual systems.
+ Manage structured BOMs (Engineering, Manufacturing, Service) and link them to simulation models, test data, and field performance metrics.
+ Administer PLM platforms (Arena, Teamcenter) to ensure configuration data supports digital twin fidelity and lifecycle traceability.
+ Collaborate with software, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to align version control, metadata, and configuration rules across domains.
+ Drive audit-ready data practices that support model-based systems engineering (MBSE), predictive maintenance, and mission assurance.
+ Integrate CAD models, control logic, and sensor data into unified digital representations for simulation, validation, and operational planning.
+ Train cross-functional teams on digital thread workflows, configuration traceability, and twin-enabled decision support.
+ Analyze gaps in digital continuity and recommend improvements to data architecture, tooling, and governance.
Qualifications
+ 5+ years of experience in configuration management with a focus on digital thread or digital twin implementation.
+ Strong understanding of PLM, CAD, and software version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
+ Experience integrating product data across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
+ Familiarity with MBSE, model validation, and simulation workflows.
+ Proficiency in PLM tools (Arena, Teamcenter) and CAD platforms (Solidworks, NX).
+ Knowledge of government standards (EIA-649, MIL-HDBK-61) and audit compliance.
+ Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
+ Engineering degree preferred; CM2 or digital twin certification is a plus.
