    Job Title: GIS Analyst

    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as a GIS Analyst. The primary responsibility will involve entering backlog information into our database, including inspection and repair reports. The role requires an individual who can research and review documents for quality and correctness, and then upload and scan them into our database. Candidates with previous GIS or drafting experience will have a better understanding of the documents they are checking and uploading.

    Responsibilities

    + Review GIS records for accuracy

    + Conduct records research

    + Scan and archive data efficiently

    + Perform GIS analysis with precision

    + Ensure TVC (traceable, verifiable, and complete) records are maintained

    + Research historical data and manage document control

    + Utilize document management systems effectively

    Essential Skills

    + Analytical mindset

    + Technical aptitude to understand documents

    + Proficiency in computer databases

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Previous pipeline experience, particularly in pipeline integrity, is preferred

    Work Environment

    The position is an open-ended, long-term contract requiring a commitment of at least 2-3 years before applying to other opportunities within the company. The role offers remote work with a 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday. However, candidates must be willing and able to drive into the Owensboro office once a month for document scanning. The office environment is quiet and engineering-focused, with a casual dress code. The company provides flexibility with work hours once the candidate is comfortable in the role.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
