    Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions in a dynamic and innovative environment. You will be responsible for creating detailed test plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and automating testing processes to enhance product quality.

    Responsibilities

    + Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases, automating as much as possible.

    + Collaborate with internal project and functional discipline teams, including system engineers, firmware developers, and hardware specialists, to identify system test requirements.

    + Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

    + Identify, record, document, and track bugs.

    + Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

    + Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

    + 3-5+ years of experience in software quality assurance.

    + Experience with writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

    + Experience with Agile/scrum methodologies and associated SQA/firmware management tools (e.g., Zephyr, JIRA).

    + Demonstrated experience with test automation including Linux OS and automated test development tools (e.g., scripting, Ruby, Cucumber, Selenium, Jenkins, GIT).

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with unit testing is a plus.

    + Understanding of hardware prototype bring-up, debug, and fault detection is a plus.

    + Understanding of engineering best practices and test methodologies.

    + Ability to analyze complex test data to resolve issues.

    + Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

    Work Environment

    This position requires a minimum of four days on-site with Friday as a flexible day. Our large campus hosts hundreds of people with all manufacturing done in-house. The daily schedule includes a scrum meeting at 9 AM, followed by task and goal updates, and collaboration with teams for troubleshooting. The work environment is akin to a college senior design project, with extensive in-house facilities and a focus on the growing water quality industry.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loveland, Colorado.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $80.00/hr.
