Job Title: Electrical Controls EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting and enhancing our proprietary test machines and developing IoT solutions for our diverse assets. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to ensure the efficiency and innovation of our systems.

Responsibilities

+ Support existing proprietary built test machines using B&R Automation hardware and software and develop new capabilities within the existing system.

+ Develop and support IoT solutions for various assets using home-built IoT hardware and software, supplemented with OEM solutions.

+ Program and troubleshoot B&R PLCs to ensure optimal functionality.

+ Decide and implement appropriate design methods and protocols for system development.

+ Maintain close guidance with advanced engineers and external sources to address technical issues, including standard and routine analysis.

+ Collaborate closely with IT, Data Science, Software Engineers, Operation Excellence, lab personnel, and supporting staff.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience within industrial automation and controls.

+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and programming, with B&R Automation experience preferred.

+ Understanding of industrial automation, electrical design, controls, and IoT core theories, concepts, terminologies, and boundaries.

+ Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and program software and control systems.

+ Experience with structured text.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ US Citizenship required.

Work Environment

This position is primarily based out of the Fairfield, OH office, with opportunities for remote work and occasional travel to various offices or labs. You will be working in a lab-based company environment that provides material testing solutions across North America and Europe, managing and maintaining a large number of proprietary built machines for material stress testing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $55.00/hr.
