• Pharmacy Technician

    Actalent (Huntsville, AL)


    + Mix IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using proper sterile compounding techniques.

    + Adhere to all documented instructions, warnings, and procedures to ensure safe and effective drug preparation.

    + Perform environmental monitoring, sanitation, testing and other activities as required by federal and state pharmacy regulations and USP-797.

    + Maintain accurate drug inventory through purchasing, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting and tracking drug items.

    + Enter home medication list and lab results into CPR+ for patient's profile.

    + Clean ante-room and clean room according to USP-797 standards and maintain clean room logs.

    + Verify lot numbers and perform periodic inventory checks.

    + Assist with on-call responsibilities as needed.

    + Complete competency verification plan upon hire and annually thereafter.

    + Understand and comply with confidentiality regarding proprietary information and patient/client care, following HIPAA guidelines.

    + PTCB

    + State registration as a pharmacy technician

    + Experience in home infusion therapy preferred

    + Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    + Articulate communication skills

    + Computer proficiency (Windows, Office)

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
