Team Gilbert is seeking an Advocacy Center Director to take the lead in building a brand new department and build its structure, policies, and partnerships from the ground up—driving effective operations, accreditation readiness, and impactful support for victims of interpersonal violence. This best-in-class facility will be home to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing trauma-informed services that empower and support victims on their journey to healing. As the Director, you'll oversee innovative programs, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and drive impactful initiatives that reflect Gilbert's values of being Driven, Kind, Bold, and Humble.
As we lay the foundation for our new Advocacy Center, the role of the Advocacy Center Director will stand as the cornerstone of our mission. This visionary leader will shape the culture, strategy, and impact of the entire department—ensuring survivors receive compassionate, trauma-informed support while building strong partnerships across law enforcement, healthcare, and community organizations.
The Director will not only guide day-to-day operations but also champion innovation, equity, and resilience in every aspect of service delivery. We’re seeking a dynamic individual with both heart and expertise—someone ready to lead with empathy, inspire a dedicated team, and elevate the standard of care for victims in our community . Are you traveling from out of state? We provide travel reimbursements for your expenses, including flights, hotel, and rental car, up to $1,500 for in-person interviews.

You must not only embody our core values of being driven, kind, bold, and humble but also meet the following qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, public administration, or a related field, with a master’s degree preferred.
+ Seven (7) years of progressively responsible managerial/strategic leadership experience in social services, child and/or family advocacy, or similarly related field; including 3 years management-level experience guiding teams, and with programmatic oversight responsibilities
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
+ A limited background investigation is required for this position.
