• Purchasing Assistant

    Aston Carter (Aurora, IL)


    Work Environment

     

    This is an office-based role and will be fully onsite. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with flexible hours available.

    Qualifications:

    + 1+ years of recent experience in purchasing, buying, or procurement.

    + Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP and Steriline.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Experience in manufacturing, data entry, and handling vendor invoices.

    + High School Diploma minimum (Bachelor's Degree preferred)

    Responsibilities

    + Purchase goods and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.

    + Oversee and maintain current inventory at satellite locations.

    + Source new vendors to meet current and future demands.

    + Handle large orders with invoices organized by product rather than quantity.

    + Evaluate vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and past transaction history.

    + Negotiate volume, cash transaction, and other available discounts with vendors.

    + Ensure purchasing documents are complete, accurate, and include reasonable terms and conditions.

    + Maintain pricing histories and vendor records.

    + Expedite orders as required.

    + Communicate any changes to purchase orders with the requestor.

    + Monitor and manage all open purchase orders.

    + Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
