Summary You will serve as a Combined Trades Leader in the Industrial Maintenance Execution Branch of FLTREADCEN EAST. Resumes are restricted to no more than 2 pages. Responsibilities You will be responsible for leading a group of workers in the maintenance, repair and installation of ground support equipment and or utility equipment. You will interpret instructions and plan the work accordingly. You will assign work in accordance with priorities established by the supervisor and ensure the employee fully understands and properly carries out the directives and instructions You will perform lead duties by demonstrating proper work methods, explaining all steps and processes and set the pace of the work. You will review and check work in process and upon completion to ensure the supervisor's instructions on work sequence, proper quality, procedures and quantity of output have been met. You will communicate with and coordinate the efforts of the various trades and support groups on assigned workload Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION 1. Leading a group of workers in the maintenance, repair and installation of ground support equipment, plant equipment and/or utility equipment at the journey level in at least one of the following trades, Electrical Equipment Repairer, Air Condition Mechanic, Industrial Equipment/Production Mechanic, Crane Operator, Powered Support Systems Mechanic/Equipment Mechanic and Compressor Air/Weight handling Systems Mechanic 2. Assigning work in accordance with priorities established by supervisors ensuring employees fully understand and properly carry out assigned tasks. 3. Explaining any unusual steps or processes and reading complicated blueprints, sketches and technical directives ensuring proper procedures, policies and instructions. 4. Communicating and coordinating efforts with various trades and support groups to resolve problems and ensure day-to-day work assignments are accomplished in proper sequence. 5. Providing on-the-job training, safety and work quality to mechanics, workers, helpers, and apprentices keeping costs of labor and material to a minimum. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
