**Job Title:** SIC Maintenance Specialist/FT (GE WEST JEFF)

**Job Summary:** Southern Industrial Constructors seeks Maintenance Specialist for an on-going site in the West Jefferson, NC area. This role is for an on-going assignment. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months. This is a 3rd Shift Role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Add Coolants and lubricants to machines as required.

+ Perform chip griding and removal of chips from production area as required.

+ Support other maintenance employees as directed.

+ Perform daily audits as required.

+ Painting and touchup as directed.

+ Cleaning facility as directed.

+ Replace bulbs in lights as needed.

Experience:

+ At least two years experience related to general production maintenance. Supports site maintenance activities through the safe performance of a wide range of manual and skilled labor tasks.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

+ Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, freezers, and warehouses, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings

+ May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

+ Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas

+ Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises

+ Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings

+ Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment

+ Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position

+ Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools

+ Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working on ladders, and in awkward body positions

+ Safety/Steel toe shoes are required
