    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Job Title: Outreach Coordinator South (Adult Education)

     

    Hours: Flexible hours but can include weekends and evenings; total 19 hours a week

     

    Pay: commensurate with education and experience with no benefits

     

    Office Location: Clarkesville Campus

     

    Description: Under general supervision the Recruiter will recruit students into the Adult Education program.

    Major Duties:

    + Works with Dean and teachers to recruit in Habersham, Franklin, Stephens, White, and Rabun Counties.

    + Establishes a working relationship with the public, community, and service delivery organizations/agencies.

    + Works with Dean to prepare materials appropriate for the intended audience.

    + Attend fairs, festivals, and events to distribute flyers.

    + Attend community meetings to distribute information.

    + Participates in community services and activities in accordance with technical college guidelines.

    + Provides specific program information through newspaper, radio, television and/or another media advertisement.

    + Other duties as assigned.

     

    Education: HS Diploma or GED required; Associates or higher preferred

     

    Skills: We are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic recruiter who excels at getting someone excited about starting school and creating a positive experience for potential GED and ESL students.

    Bachelors degree in education, business administration or a closely related field *and* Three (3) years of experience in an educational setting. Supervisory experience is required.
