As a test driver, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of off-road vehicles by operating vehicles through prescribed engineered test routes in real-world conditions. Key Responsibilities
+ Operate Polaris Off-Road Vehicles in a variety of terrains and weather conditions to evaluate performance, durability, and safety.
+ Execute structured test plans and provide detailed feedback on vehicle handling, ride quality, and system functionality.
+ Document test results using digital tools and web-based systems, including daily logs, performance notes, and incident reports.
+ Identify and report issues related to vehicle performance, safety, and reliability, offering recommendations for improvements.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to test prototype and production vehicles, contributing to product development and refinement.
+ Capture and upload digital photos of test vehicles and components for documentation and analysis.
+ Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all OSHA and company safety standards.
+ Adapt to changing assignments and test priorities with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
+ Travel occasionally to off-site testing locations as needed.
Qualifications
+ Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license.
+ Strong off-road driving skills and familiarity with Polaris vehicles preferred.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in mechanical or automotive fields is a plus.
+ Mechanical aptitude and basic repair knowledge of off-road vehicles.
+ Proficient with computers and digital data entry; experience with data acquisition systems is a plus.
+ Ability to safely operate vehicles for extended periods in rugged environments.
+ Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
+ Welding, fabrication, or engine knowledge is a bonus.
