Required Education/Experience

+ Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years experience in the engineering, design, construction, operations, project management, and/or maintenance of substation or distribution systems. or

+ Associate's Degree and 7 or more years experience in the engineering, design, construction, operations, project management, and/or maintenance of substation or distribution systems. or

+ High School Diploma/GED and 9 or more years experience in the engineering, design, construction, operations, project management, and/or maintenance of substation or distribution systems.

Relevant Work Experience

+ Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, support staff, and various levels of management. Required

+ Quick-learner and be able to think on their feet Required

+ Well organized, detail-oriented, and flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Required

+ Capable of managing complex projects and rendering sound business decisions. Required

+ Experience with or the ability to learn in depth knowledge of codes, standards, procedures and specifications Required

+ Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience Required

+ Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel and Word. Required

+ In depth knowledge of P6. Preferred

+ Familiarity with systems such as Maximo, Engage, OSS, CTSEOS, Oracle BI and Unifier. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

+ Driver's License Required

Physical Demands

+ Ability to respond to system emergencies

+ Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold

+ Perform extended driving through heavy traffic and severe off-road conditions

+ Work in, under, and on top of all types of company vehicles and/or equipment

+ Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations

+ Ability to climb ladders and stairs

+ Ability to work on elevated platforms, scaffolds, catwalks, roofs, and/or other equipment

+ Perform work in underground vaults through manholes

+ Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)

+ Ability to work with, and in, the vicinity of high voltage and/or other high-energy systems

+ Stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs for the duration of the workday

+ Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday

+ Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies

+ Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses

+ Use personal vehicle(s), and be able to transport, store, and secure company laptops and other job-related equipment in vehicle. Acknowledge that reimbursement for use of personal vehicle is available through the company mileage procedure

Additional Physical Demands

+ The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
