    Job Description

    This is a temporary, non-merit position. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.

     

    This is a non-merit temporary position with the Iowa Veterans Home.

     

    The hourly wage will be $12.76.

     

    The Iowa Veterans Home is looking for a temporary Resident Aide to work in the Activity Centers.

    Duties include:

    - Escort residents to and from activity classes, pushing occupied adult sized wheelchairs.

     

    - Assist in classrooms with projection preparation when not escorting.

     

    -Assist Recreation staff with special events as needed and escort residents to and from events.

     

    Hours are 8:45 A.M.-2:45 P.M., Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

     

    ***All applicants are subject to a criminal background and dependent adult abuse check.
