Special Education Teacher | $52/hr | Part-Time | 32-Week Contract | DuPont, WA

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support a growing caseload of students with IEPs in DuPont, WA. This part-time, in-person role begins October 27, 2025, and runs for 32 weeks, offering a competitive rate of $52/hour.

Position Overview:

+ Location: DuPont, WA

+ Start Date: October 27, 2025

+ Duration: 32 weeks

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday

+ Hours: Up to 19/week

+ Daily Time Block: 11:25 AM – 3:10 PM

+ Modality: In-person

Classroom Details:

+ Join a team of 4 special education teachers (3 resource room educators)

+ Caseload: Approximately 15 students with IEPs

+ Role created due to increased student need

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide specialized instruction and support for K–12 students

+ Collaborate with general education staff and participate in student program planning

+ Deliver tutorial assistance and consult with support teams

+ Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Minimum Requirements:

+ Valid Washington state teaching certificate

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ State Teacher Certification: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred)

+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

+ Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)

+ CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
