    Waste Control, a Waste Connections company is looking to hire a full time, year-round Heavy Equipment Operator at our MRF in Longview, Washington.

     

    The Starting rate of pay is $25.11/HR.

    The Schedule will be:

    4 Days on, 3 Days off -3 Days on, -4 Days off.** Every other Wednesday and every Thursday through Saturday Starting **at 6:00am-5:30Pm** **(With Overtime Often. Average work week is (45-48 Hours a week)

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + **Performs routine inspection and maintenance on Equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.**

    + **Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.**

    + **Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.**

    + **Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.**

    + **Works well with the public**

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

    + **Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.**

    + **Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.**

    + **Ability to operate heavy equipment such as Front End Loader, Fork Lift, and other Heavy Equipment.**

    + **Knowledge of basic computer skills.**

    + **Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.**

    + **Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.**

    + **Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.**
