    JOB TITLE: PRECIOUS METALS ADMINISTRATOR

    JOB TYPE: FULLTIME, ON-SITE

    The Precious Metal Administrator receives and audits incoming precious metals; plans the availability of metals for alloy and load for Melt, Refinery and Assay Lab areas. This position also coordinates alloy orders for shipment and proportions metals for batching. This position is responsible for precious and non-precious metals inventory along with various related backup and security duties.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Weigh, measure and check materials, supplies and equipment to keep relevant records for alloy fabrication and refinery scrap formulations. Other related duties are associated with keeping accurate data for the Material Crib.

    + Coordinate flow of work and materials withing or between Melt, Alloy, Refinery and Assay Lab areas according to production schedule. This includes reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules, conferring with Area Supervisors and production plants to determine progress of work and completion dates, and compiling reports on inventory levels and work progress.

    + Backup Assay Lab Technician when needed (training provided).

    + Back up facility key holder and security responder in the event of alarm to open building for police dispatch; inner vault opener

    + Work with Plant Accountant to maintain accurate ledgers and material control books. Assist in ordering and receiving all precious and non-precious metals for alloys.

    + Work within departments to order all safety equipment and production supplies for melt, refinery and lab; maintain inventory logs.

    REQUIRED

    + High School graduate or GED

    + Three Years specialized precious metals experience plus a sufficient period with the company to become familiar with all phases of the work, including the use of precision weighing experience.

    + Material control experience.

    + Basic knowledge of hazardous chemical elements and reactions.

    + Ability to lift to 35 pounds.

    + Working level proficiency with scales, Microsoft 365 including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, along with Oracle mainframe software for material control.

    + Work with UPS and Fed-ex shipping (domestic and international) including preparation of proper Customs documentation, along with tracking shipments to other facilities.

    + Attention to Detail.
