    Position Summary

    Serve as a subject matter expert and work with faculty and facilitators from across the university in developing and delivering engaging, quality hands-on learning experiences for the College and Career Lab (CCL) students–on campus and through internship opportunities. Design curriculum, provide instructional support, and manage the College and Career Lab internship program. Serve as a primary point of contact for external partners and internal stakeholders. This position will be a critical member of a small, collaborative team, particularly in the execution of the College and Career Lab Summer Program.This is a one-year fixed position.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's DegreeRequired Experience:2+ years Relevant experience in curricular design and instruction, particularly at the middle and high school levels, experience working at a nonprofit that serves under-resourced student populations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Experience:5+ years Relevant experience in curricular design and instruction, particularly at the middle and high school levels, experience working at a nonprofit that serves under-resourced student populations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated data management and reporting skills. Ability to analyze and solve complex problems. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and student information systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to consistently meet deadlines. Ability to interact with a diverse population and all levels of personnel. Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when dealing with difficult issues and/or diverse organizations. Ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, staff, parents, professional colleagues, and the public. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to promote a cooperative work environment. Deep understanding about the academic and pedagogical needs of New York City middle and high school students. Ability to work fully on-site during the Summer Program and one Saturday a month during the school year for CCL Practice Labs.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Must have an open mind about post-secondary success and the pathways to wage-sustaining careers that may or may not include college. Have a strong commitment to culturally responsive approaches to education and education equity, and demonstrate an inclusive mindset to support students from all backgrounds in their pursuit of post-secondary success. Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish

     

    Additional Information

     

    In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $81,950.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
