Custom Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for assisting in the administration and supporting the district's threat management efforts relative to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act and related regulatory reporting requirements. The position collaborates closely with a highly regarded team of administrative and law enforcement professionaIs.
Essential Functions of this Job
Analyze and maintain student data, review data with staff for compliance and quality improvement.
Assist in monitoring of daily compliance with threat management data entry requirements and policy timelines.
Prepare and present data reports, charts, graphs, presentations, and spreadsheets as required for compliance and review.
Provide administrative data processing support and system data management; perform analysis of student data to identify trends and variances and implement corrective action.
Provide technical support to school and district staff in utilization of electronic databases for threat management data entries.
Respond to requests for assistance from schools, departments, and others; analyze details of problems to determine solutions and cooperate with and advise customers until issues are resolved.
Collaborate with school staff to ensure compliance with threat management timelines and requirements.
Participate and provide assistance to school administrators to resolve issues related to developing monitoring/safety plans for students with behavioral challenges.
Provide and/or arrange for on-going staff development opportunities to facilitate skill acquisition regarding electronic threat assessment management system.
Share compliance of data entry with supervisors on a daily basis.
Participate in training programs offered to enhance the individual skills and proficiency related to the job responsibilities.
Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to plan, organize, implement, and monitor programs and services. Outstanding interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills are need to work with administrators and district staff. Computer literacy and organizational skills are essential. Ability to gather and analyze data as it relates to restraints and school and district trainings.
Education, Experience and/or Certification/License Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. A Master's degree is preferred.
Two (2) years of experience managing a compliance-related function; experience with compliance with local, state, or federal laws preferred.
Experience in professional development and collaborative teaming is required.
Work Context:
Requires some sitting and standing, walking and moving about to coordinate work. Requires the use of alternative communication systems, such as electronic mail, telephones and computers. Requires coordination of work tasks to establish priorities, set goals and meet deadlines. Requires face-to-face discussions and contact with individuals and/or teams. Requires work with both internal and external contacts, and with the public.
Physical Environment:
Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions and outdoors at times. Requires, sitting, standing, moving about, and the ability to lift, carry, move, and/or positions objects frequently weighing up to 20 pounds and infrequently mor than 20 pounds. Requires travel to schools and worksites within the district.
