    Job Description

    A client in the Houston area is looking for a Drilling Engineer QA specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be someone with an expertise in the drilling domain with a knowledge of software user testing. This individual will be testing a proprietary drilling modeling application; they will be testing the functionally of the application assuring what is showing to the user's eye is built correctly to the plans set forth in the field and working with development teams to correct if there are errors. The ideal candidate will need to be familiar with manual testing. Lastly, this person will need to have excellent communication to be able to speak with engineers in the field and team members offshore. This position will be onsite 5 days/week and will have an annual salary of $120K-$150K/year.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    5+ years of experience in planning software and operations software in the drilling space

     

    Drilling Subject Matter Expert

     

    Complete EDT experience (Well plan, Compass Landmark software)

     

    BHA design experience

     

    Drilling Tool Expert

     

    Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define end user and testing workflows Halliburton Advanced BHA Design certification
