Job Description
Insight Global is seeking Mechanical Design Engineers to join the team of one of their top customers in Greenville, SC. This role is onsite, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This in-person role is critical to supporting the design, analysis, and continuous improvement of gas turbine hardware, with a focus on hot gas path components. The ideal candidate will take ownership of hardware redesigns, lead technical reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to qualify new processes and suppliers. You’ll be expected to apply engineering principles to solve complex problems, enhance manufacturability, and ensure adherence to technical standards. This role also involves contributing to the development of standard work practices and driving improvements in design and manufacturing processes. A strong sense of urgency, quality mindset, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities are essential for success.

Skills and Requirements
Must-Have Skillsets:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience designing gas turbine hardware or similar rotating machinery (especially hot gas path components)
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and coatings
• Familiarity with Ansys, NX, and GD&T
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials Plusses:
• Prior experience dispositioning non-conforming hardware
• Knowledge of design templates and standard work practices
• Demonstrated ability to shift priorities quickly based on business needs
• Self-motivated, humble, open-minded, and eager to learn
