Job Description

As an Electrical Installer you will be responsible for the installation, wiring, and commissioning of low-voltage electrical systems including security, fire alarm, access control, and building automation systems. You will work closely with project managers and technicians to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of integrated solutions to clients.

Install, terminate, and test electrical wiring and devices for low-voltage systems.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Mount and connect control panels, sensors, and other system components.

Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards, and Convergint’s quality procedures.

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues.

Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.

Communicate effectively with clients and represent Convergint professionally on job sites.

Skills and Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.

2+ years of experience in electrical installation, preferably in low-voltage systems.

Familiarity with tools and equipment used in electrical work.

Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites. Experience with fire alarm, CCTV, access control, or building automation systems.

Knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes.

OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
