    Fiber Technician

    **Job Type** : Full-Time +, Non-Exempt

    **Pay** :Competitive, Hourly

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    + Working with other technician to install new networks and troubleshooting of existing systems.

    + Resolve, repair and install fiber optics systems.

    + Splicing and testing of multimode and single mode fibers in ITS systems.

    + Assist in on-site work duties.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Must be 18 years of age or older.

    + Extensive knowledge of fiber optic installations, cable splicing and troubleshooting.

    + Can accurately read plans and specifications.

    + Comfortable working outside in various climates.

    Education & Experience

    + Minimum of 12 months of installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic systems experience.

    Pre-Screen

    + Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check.

    License & Certifications:

    + Valid driver's license required.

    Travel Requirements:

    + Potential travel required for temporary backup needs at other office locations.
