Summary:
The Security Posture Management team’s mission lies at the intersection of empowering engineers to work efficiently with minimal friction and maintaining the highest standards of security controls for our critical infrastructure. We are looking for a highly motivated intern who is eager to learn and passionate about security engineering!As an intern on our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the security of Meta's infrastructure while developing your skills in a collaborative and supportive environment. This internship, starting Summer 2026, is an exciting opportunity if you are interested in solving complex security problems and want to gain hands-on experience with innovative engineering solutions.
Required Skills:
Security Engineer Posture Management, Intern Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with engineers on building features in existing tools to address security problems at scale at Meta
2. Support work around validating proofs of concept and executing tests to influence definition of security standards and controls inside the company
3. Improve reliability of security tools involved in the company's security posture management program in partnership with senior engineers
Minimum Qualifications:

4. Must be in the process of obtaining a BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
5. Proven written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical issues to both security and non-security audiences
6. Experience writing code in Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, Rust, C/C++, or similar languages
7. Familiarity in one or more of the following areas - distributed systems, software security, cybersecurity, computer security, cloud computing
8. Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
9. Intent to return to full-time degree program after completion of the internship

10. Experience using metrics to measure service and program effectiveness and consistency
11. Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools (e.g., Terraform, SaltStack, Ansible) through classes, labs, previous internships, or personal projects
12. Contributions to the security or privacy community (public research, OSS, blogging, presentations, etc.)
Public Compensation:
$7,313/month to $11,293/month + benefits
