As a Technical Program Manager, Strategic Programs for VR Hardware you will lead multidisciplinary initiatives that drive the development and execution of next-generation hardware products. You will partner with world-class experts across engineering, operations, and business teams to deliver high-impact programs that shape the future of our hardware portfolio.In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and program management skills to coordinate complex, cross-functional efforts, establish clear requirements, manage schedules, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure seamless communication among stakeholders. You will champion best practices and process improvements that enable our teams to execute efficiently and innovate at speed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Required Skills:
Technical Program Manager, Strategic Programs, VR Hardware Responsibilities:
1. Partner with the Cross Functional HW Engineering team to enable the definition and execution of next generation hardware products
2. Coordinate and drive engineering design deliverables including specifications, DOE and validation plans
3. Work with cross-functional teams (System PD, EE, Industrial Design, Reliability, Operations) and other cross-functional teams to develop best practices and technology development processes in a fast-paced environment
4. Provide strategic guidance and oversight for the hardware development budget process across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with central guidance on budget and build performance and integrating roadmap scenario analysis
5. Lead the strategic management and oversight of the Design Engineering Services Program, partnering with external CM partners and internal CMM and Engineering teams to transition from a functional to a program-based model
6. Oversee Design Engineering Services budget management, program resource forecasting, tracking of program KPIs, and management of communications with business teams
7. Develop and implement best practices, tools, and processes to improve program efficiency, resource allocation, and KPI tracking
8. Communicate program statuses, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the hardware organization, focusing on process optimization and operational efficiency
10. Manage program documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and accessibility for staff and leadership review
Minimum Qualifications:

11. BS in Engineering, or equivalent experience
12. 7+ years of experience in technical program management, hardware development, or engineering leadership roles in consumer electronics or related industries
13. Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional programs with a focus on budget oversight, resource forecasting, and KPI tracking
14. Experience working with external manufacturing partners (ODM, JDM, CM) and internal cross-functional teams
15. Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and process improvements
16. Proven communication skills, with experience engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders
17. Ability to operate autonomously, manage ambiguity, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

18. MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
19. Experience in both 1P and 2P product development environments
20. Experience leading organizational transformation or process optimization initiatives
21. Familiarity with hardware development lifecycle, including design for manufacturing, tooling, validation, and characterization processes
22. Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with program management tools
Public Compensation:
$167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
