    As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), your primary responsibility will be to provide basic care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

     

    Shifts: Full Time Days, Evenings, and Overnights

     

    Days: 7:00am – 3:00pm

     

    Evenings: 3:00pm – 11:00pm

     

    Nights: 11:00pm – 7:00am

     

    Pay: $23.34 - $25.13 per hour

     

    $1.50 Per Hour Shift Differential for Evenings and Nights

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    + Assist patients with their personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.

    + Help patients with mobility by aiding in walking, transferring, and positioning.

    + Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff.

    + Assist in feeding patients and ensuring they receive adequate nutrition and hydration.

    + Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

    + Respond to patient calls and provide them with emotional support and companionship.

    + Maintain a clean and organized environment by changing linens, tidying patient rooms, and replenishing supplies.

    + Document patient information and report any observed changes or concerns to the nursing staff.

    + Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure the welfare of patients.

    + Assist in transporting patients to various departments within the healthcare facility as needed.

    Qualifications

    + Current NYS certification as a certified nursing assistant

    + Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and rotation to weekend schedule to meet resident needs.

    + Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, and other employees and cope with the physical and mental stress of the position.

    + Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions.

    + Ability to report changes in the resident’s condition and other pertinent information.

    + Ability to take and record information and basic records.

    + Knowledge of MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.
