The Transport Driver is responsible for safely transporting facility

residents to and from appointments, providing quality customer service.

**MUST have an active CNA license, and Valid Driver’s License**

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Reviews patient information prior to appointment in order to determine patient

needs. Verifies all information with nursing staff as necessary.

Implements customer-service standards, resolves problems, and determines &

completes patient transportation system improvements.

Stays with patients at appointments to provide assistance upon request.

Determines best route to and from appointments prior to the departing time,

along with equipment required to load and unload patients.

Keeps equipment operating by establishing and enforcing operating and

preventative maintenance rules; arranges for repairs, oil changes, etc.

Provides and troubleshoots medical equipment needed for patient transport,

including but not limited to oxygen, wheelchairs, gurneys, and IVs.

Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing,

following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complies with legal

regulations.

Education

CNA license

High school diploma or GED

Experience and Specific Requirements

Must have an active CNA license

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license as well as a clean driving

record in TN

Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and crouch repetitively.

Must be able to push a minimum of 200 pounds for a long distance.

Must be able to lift bulky heavy items up to 100 pounds.

Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language.

Must be able to pass an MVR

Maintain the confidentiality of resident information and honor his/her personal and property

rights.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Administrator.
