Job Description
STIPEND OPPORTUNITY: Compensatory Service Coordinator
The Office of Specialized Services seeks Compensatory Service Coordinators. The Coordinators will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of BPS Compensatory Services efforts, including developing internal infrastructure, scheduling cases, managing any issues with parents that might occur, timekeeping, report approval pipeline, and payroll data collection.
REPORTS TO: Chief of Special Services or their designee
COLLABORATES WITH: BPS Compensatory Services planning team and other Compensatory Service Coordinators to develop necessary program infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Student Focused:
+ Ensure compliant team requests for student compensatory services
+ Pair student compensatory needs with appropriate staffing and curriculum
+ Provide regular communication with families including: compensatory services initiations, weekly status updates and completion of compensatory services
+ Staffing
+ Create a high caliber service provider talent pool, including special educators, Related Service Providers, school counselors/psychologists, and others
+ Train/orient and deploy staff to provide student compensatory services.
+ Monitor staff and create stability to reduce turnover. Manage staff, ensure staff complete all job description responsibilities and ensure student compensatory goals are met.
+ Track and provide biweekly data to OSS Finance and Operations team to process timely payroll for staff
+ Service Site Development & Management
+ Develop BPS capacity and manage sites to provide in person services to students Monday through Friday in BPS Schools
+ Develop BPS capacity and manage large sites to provide in person services to students on weekends in BPS Schools
+ Collaborate with facilities, transportation, food services to ensure comprehensive program is delivered on weekends and non-standard school hours, including evenings and school vacation weeks
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED:
+ Two or more years of project management, talent acquisition, human resources, or related experience
+ Excellent communication skills and passion for building great candidate experiences
+ Hands-on experience with tracking and data tracking systems
+ Work hours will vary and include night and weekends
+ Must be curious, resourceful, team-oriented, and coachable
QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED:
+ Candidates fluent in one or more of BPS's official languages: Spanish, Creole (Cape Verdean), Creole (Haitian), Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, & Somali.
TERMS: This is an hourly stipend. The anticipated weekly hours vary between 10 and 15. Must be available on Saturdays, after school hours and during school vacation weeks.
