Maintenance Technician

Shift: 6:15 PM-7:00 AM
Hourly Rate: $35.50 an hour + $2.00 shift differential
Essential Job Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to safely and proactively ensure the reliability of all systems and equipment, applying the necessary skills and knowledge to perform predictive, preventative, modifying and repairing tasks.
• Responsible for coaching team regarding line speed and organization, sanitation, staffing concerns and performance while actively communicating with team and management
• Coordinate team training to ensure that equipment is safely and properly operated and standard work is followed
• Follow work order directions for proper installation, overhaul, operation, periodic inspections, and preventive maintenance following precision maintenance techniques on plant packaging and process equipment to insure efficient operation without direct or constant supervision and with minimum downtime
• Set up assigned production lines and assist in changeovers as required.
• Provide feedback to improve maintenance activities in the future including preventative tasks, parts, tools, strategy
• Perform building and grounds maintenance activities, including but not limited to changing light bulbs, electrical repairs and construction
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematic prints of plant equipment and electrical lay outs, in order to fabricate, build, and/or revamp equipment and electrical systems with minimal supervision or verbal instruction.
• Perform routine preventive, proactive, corrective and emergency maintenance activities on all assigned equipment based on technical and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) maintenance requirements.
• Perform other tasks as required by lead or supervisory personnel within the expectations of efficient plant operations
• Be aware of food safety risks and escalate risks to lead, supervisor or management
• Comply with and enforce all ConAgra Brands policies, procedures and practices
• Follows Safety, Quality and Human Resource protocols, policies and procedures
• Ensure all products meet ConAgra Quality Standards
• Ensure cleanliness of line and workspace and safety standards are met
• Record/Log all data accurately and within the time given
• Adheres to all Good Manufacturing Practices
• Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
• Must be able to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and utilize for problem-solving
• Must be able to troubleshoot and problem solve mechanical and electrical technical concerns
• Must be detail-oriented
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Must work as a team with all supervisors, managers and peers
• Must be able to give and take direction in high pressure situations
• Must be able to work with limited supervision
• Must be highly motivated, demonstrate skill, initiative and judgement to make and accept responsibility for decisions
• Must be able to stand, squat, reach, bend and change position for extended periods of time
• Ability to adapt to change and high-pressure situations
• Must be aware of food safety risk, respond promptly and escalate found risks promptly to appropriate parties
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance frequently
• Must be comfortable utilizing technology to communicate, research and track work orders
• Completion of a two-year electro-mechanical technician or related electrical field preferred
• Two years of experience preferred
• Attend work as scheduled and be punctual
