Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a CI / OPEX Manager in El Paso, TX.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you’ll do:
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence Manager is fully responsible for leading Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence for the El Paso, TX CPA plant. This role will include leading and deploying operational efficiency, lean and continuous improvement initiatives and tools, key performance indicators, benchmarking, and an effective productivity management operating system as well as operation system deployment. This leader will develop and execute the continuous improvement strategy for the business including planning, standardizing, and deploying all elements of Eaton Continuous Improvement System (ECIS).
Lead plant certification efforts including Eaton Continuous Improvement Systems (ECIS) and Operational Assessment (OpA).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and Critical Outputs:
• Lead internal operating system (Eaton Business Systems), Operational Assessment (OpA) Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) roadmap and strategy.
• Continuously improve and document operations processes through implementation of lean, six sigma tools, best practices, and experiences.
• Ensure the development and implementation of an effective Management Operating System to align and support performance management and effective escalation.
• Design and standardizes factory dashboards and KPI’s to match business and factory needs.
• Coordinates Operating System deployment and continuous improvement training.
• Lead Productivity and continuous improvement mgmt. operating system and project pipeline generation process in strong partnership with operations, and business functions.
• Manage planning, facilitation and completion of continuous improvement events calendar and transition projects to support year over year cost productivity in line with business objectives.
• Use Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles to implement corrective and improvement actions for operational issues.
• Provide leadership in the industrialization of New Products introduced through the PROLaunch process.
• Direct capital budgets for the internal and external products and administer necessary manufacturing controls for cost.
• Maintain a safe work environment by providing a facility, design of manufacturing methods, tools and equipment that comply with federal regulations and Eaton Safety Process requirements.
• Utilize appropriate lean tools (ECIS) and champion general continuous improvement initiatives to improve overall business performance as measured by productivity, on-time performance, and quality trends.
Qualifications:
Education and Minimum Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or industrial engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of direct supervisor / managerial expereince over salary professional
