Job Description
The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish.
Workforce Connect (a division of DYCD) is comprised of a portfolio of Youth and Adult Workforce Development programs, including those that focus primarily on in-school youth such as the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), Work, Learn and Grow (WLG), and Learn & Earn as well as programs for Out-of-School, Out-of-Work (OSOW) community members such as Advance & Earn, Train & Earn, and CRED-NYC.
In partnership with NYC Public Schools (NYCPS) and CUNY, DYCD has launched the CUNY REACH Pilot, a program that offers young people the opportunity to take a CUNY course and get paid while earning early college credits or building eligibility for a credit-bearing course. In addition, participants will complete internship experiences as part of the 150 hours provided through SYEP. DYCD is seeking a Program Coordinator for the CUNY REACH Pilot to lead participant recruitment and coordinate with key stakeholders.

This is a three-year, grant-funded position reporting to the Senior Director of In-School Youth Workforce Programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
--Develop informational materials and resources for recruitment sessions at NYCPS schools and with provider organizations.
--Support participant recruitment by coordinating with provider and CUNY staff to ensure alignment on eligibility requirements and slot allocations.

--Serve as a point of contact for provider staff, offering guidance and connecting them to appropriate partners or resources to address challenges.
--Organize and facilitate meetings or calls with participating providers as needed to promote collaboration and information
--Compile, analyze, and process all reports/data supporting provider performance statistics to inform and support management decision-making.
--Other projects and tasks as needed to support the SYEP unit and programs.
