    Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a School Nurse

     

    As a School Registered Nurse at MercyOne, you will facilitate and strengthen the educational process by improving and protecting the health status of children and by identifying and assisting in the removal or modification of health-related barriers to the learning process for the individual child.

    Schedule:

    + PRN

    General Requirements:

    + Promotes and protects the optimal health status of children by providing health assessments and develops and implements health plans.

    + Delegation of duties per Iowa Board of nursing delegation model with health assistants- Functional supervision of health assistants through competency oversight

    + Participates in continuous quality improvement process

    + Administers medication and treatments as indicated, conducts client interviews, assessments and screenings, administers immunizations.

    + Maintains, evaluates, and interprets cumulative health data to accommodate health needs of the students.

    Education:

    + Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

    + Bachelor's Degree preferred

    + One year of experience in a school setting I preferred
