Clinical Pharmacist Opportunities – Surgery | Neurology | Internal Medicine
We’re hiring pharmacists to join our specialized teams in Surgery, Neurology, and Internal Medicine. Each area offers distinct clinical challenges and opportunities for professional growth.

Surgery Pharmacist
• Optimize perioperative medication therapy
• Collaborate with surgical teams on pain management, antimicrobial stewardship, and transitions of care
• Fast-paced, acute care setting with rapid decision-making

Neurology Pharmacist
• Manage complex regimens for epilepsy, MS, Parkinson’s, and stroke
• Support access to specialty medications and patient adherence
• Chronic care focus with high-impact clinical interventions

Internal Medicine Pharmacist
• Provide broad-spectrum care across general medicine units
• Manage therapies for heart failure, COPD, renal disease, and infections
• Diverse patient population and strong teaching/research opportunities

• Deliver direct patient care through medication management
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and clinical decision-making
• Educate patients and providers on pharmacotherapy

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree required.
Experience: PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. (3.years). PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas.
Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. BLS certification required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: typing. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
Position Compensation Range: $55.67 - $89.07 Hourly
