    Payroll Business Analyst

     

    Payroll Business Analyst conducts analytical work to support payroll processing and compliance within all payroll functions of Select Medical’s Payroll Services Department.

    Responsibilities

    + Analyzes payroll-related functions, processes, and activities to provide suggestions for enhancements that will improve efficiencies and business outcomes.

    + Design, build, and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets and VBA macros, Access databases, and dashboards to support analysis, process automation, and business needs.

    + Ability to generate routinely scheduled and ad-hoc reports, and present findings and insights to business partners and stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.

    + Manage retrieval and organization of large volumes of data from various timekeeping/payroll systems.

    + Support the department management team with the development of data-driven solutions to business challenges.

    + Assists with the creation of training and reference documents for business-related templates, databases, and routine Excel functions.

    Qualifications

    **_Required_** :

    + 1 to 3 years of applicable and proven experience in business and data analysis. Proficient in payroll, accounting and financial principles.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Proven expertise in advanced Excel and VBA development for automating processes and analyzing data is required.

    + Knowledge of information systems, reporting, and programming is required.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy.

    **_Preferred_** :

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in business or finance preferred.

    + Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

    + Prior and proven experience successfully working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

    + Prior experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, UKG, and ADP payroll products. Experience with MicroStrategy and SplashBI preferred.

    + Superior attention to detail and task-prioritization/organization under minimal supervision and in a fast-paced environment.

    + Excellent communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with mature judgment and integrity.
