Programs: All PRI Shelters and Programs
Salary: $170,000 - $175,000
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Housing and Shelter Officer, the VP leads the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of Project Renewal shelter, housing. and related programs. The portfolio may include programs serving criminal justice involved adults and seeks a candidate with a strong interest in managing programs with complex relationships with law enforcement and corrections.
The VP is a member of the leadership team. Mission-focused, seasoned, strategic and process-minded, the VP works closely with the Chief Housing and Shelter Officer, Program VPs, Program Directors and the leadership team to deliver programs and services that meet quality standards, regulatory and funder requirements and prepare the organization for further growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The essential duties of the VP of Programs include but are not limited to the following activities:
+ Work with the leadership team, program directors and staff to develop and implement the strategic plan;
+ Support and direct the activities of assigned program directors to ensure that day-to-day programs, services and operations are effectively implemented and executed in support of Project Renewal’s mission, vision and values
+ Provide onsite leadership to their assigned profile of programs and fill-in during the absence of program leadership at an assigned site
+ Provide ongoing feedback to staff so they can continuously improve their supervision, coaching and mentoring skills to promote growth within their roles and within the agency
+ Work closely with the Chief Housing and Shelter Officer, Senior Director of PEQA and Program Directors to set, track and achieve program goals;
+ Collaborate with Senior Director of PEQA to use raw data to identify patterns, trends and insights for organizational action;
+ In partnership with the leadership team, foster an organization-wide team-based culture, rooted in PRI Values, to support the goals of integration and collaboration;
+ Work closely with the CMO, VP of OT, VP of Behavioral Health, and program leadership to build out best practices around integration of multi-disciplinary teams
+ Represent Project Renewal at external events including but not limited to: Community Board meetings, panels, fundraising and advocacy engagements;
+ Foster relationships with funders, community and government partners;
+ Support staff in budget planning, management and spend down processes;
+ Works closed with the Chief Housing and Shelter Officer to lead all aspects of programming planning for new programs in Project Renewal’s pipeline;
+ Bring diversity, equity and inclusion lens to the work; the VP will identify ways to ensure that the perspective of our clients inform our serve delivery approaches and offerings;
+ Support and develop sharing of best practices/program information/insights across the organization
+ Manage additional projects/program as directed by the Chief Housing and Shelter Officer, COO, or CEO.
Education:
+ Undergraduate degree required, with an advanced degree/certification is preferred.
+ A minimum of 8 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity.

+ Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends and incorporate them into program plans and design

+ Demonstrates leadership and a willingness to take unpopular stands when necessary
+ Understanding of finance, systems and human resources, especially as it impacts programs
+ Willingness to travel to different sites and work regularly from different program sites
Physical Activities and Environments:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may work in an office environment, travel to PRI facilities or meetings/events outside PRI offices and facilities. The employee is required to talk and hear, often required to sit for extended periods of time for example, at the computer or in meetings, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
