    Overview

     

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Technician (Level II) to perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using ultrasonic methods to detect imperfections in materials, structures, and systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial inspection, a solid understanding of UT principles, and certification in accordance with industry standards.

     

    Salary: $26- $30/hour DOE (depending on experience)

     

    Employee will be eligible for shift differential if they are working the 2 nd or 3 rd shift.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform Level II ultrasonic inspections on various materials, welds, and components to detect discontinuities and ensure quality standards.

    + Set up and calibrate UT equipment based on specific testing procedures and customer specification

    + Interpret and evaluate inspection results, identify discontinuities, and determine their relevance to product integrity.

    + Document findings and generate detailed technical reports in accordance with codes and customer requirements.

    + Supervise and guide Level I UT Technicians as needed.

    + Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, API), and client specifications.

    + Maintain equipment and ensure it is functioning properly and safely

    + Capability of analyzing C-scan data and A-scan presentations

    Skills / Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED;

    + Minimum 80 hours of UT school requirements (must be able to provide certificate)

    + Valid Level II certification or OJT Log in Ultrasonic Testing per ASNT SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410 standards.

    + Be able to work either shift 2 or 3

    + Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience in ultrasonic testing.

    + Excellent technical reporting and documentation skills.

    + Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

    + Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

    Work Environment:

    + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces.

    + Field and shop environments with exposure to varying weather and industrial conditions.

    + Must be willing to travel and work overtime or weekends as needed.

    + Use of PPE and strict adherence to safety procedures required.
