    Salary: Starting at $90,000 - Depends on Experience (DOE)

    Primary Duties: The successful applicant will be assigned to the Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Unit to serve as a prosecutor for the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. This position will primarily prosecute ICAC cases but may also handle other felonies, including public corruption cases and referral cases from county prosecuting attorneys. Prosecutors in this unit may also be assigned to assist county prosecuting attorneys in major cases. Primary duties include handling all aspects of criminal prosecution, from search warrant review and screening through trial and sentencing; working closely with investigators throughout the state; and appearing in courtrooms all over Idaho.

     

    The Office of the Attorney General prioritizes the mental health and wellbeing of all ICAC personnel. Each ICAC prosecutor is required to meet with a mental health professional annually.

     

    Minimum Qualifications: Must hold an active Idaho Bar license and have jury trial experience. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide are required. Candidates should be comfortable managing cases with media attention and demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for public service.

     

    Preferred Qualifications: At least two years of prosecution experience, including experience prosecuting ICAC cases. Familiarity with Fourth Amendment jurisprudence on the search and seizure of electronic devices and data stored in the cloud.
