Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on assignments that require moderate complexity and judgment in problem-solving and making routine recommendations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient information, facilitating efficient workflow, and supporting our mission to simplify access to medication and deliver personalized care.

Responsibilities

+ Review the contents of referrals to ensure complete and accurate information is received.

+ Create patient profiles from scanned or faxed images by entering correct patient and provider information.

+ Conduct initial checks of prescriptions to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.

+ Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns.

+ Update concise progress notes to enable quick assessment of referral status by other team members.

+ Enter new provider information, including National Provider Identifier, accurately into the system.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) that is current and without restrictions.

+ 2+ years of pharmacy operation experience.

+ Experience working in a pharmacy setting.

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.

+ Competency in basic computer skills.

+ Ability to multi-task and work effectively with people.

+ Attention to detail and conscientiousness.

+ Flexibility and adaptability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma required.

+ Healthcare experience preferred.

+ NC Registered (NCBOP).

Work Environment

This position is based in a call center environment, operating from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM EST. The role does not involve direct patient contact, as all interactions occur over the phone. During the reverification period, the position requires onsite work from 9 AM to 6 PM. Upon completion, the schedule will transition to 11 AM to 8 PM with a hybrid working model. The work environment is professional, with major holidays observed and weekends off.

This is a Contract position based out of Cary, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
