    Lab Analyst I – Quality Control Laboratory

    Shifts available:

    + 10 pm – 6:30 am

    + 6 am – 2:30 pm

    + 2 pm – 10:30 pm

    Pay Rate: $18-$20 an hour

    Join a large manufacturing company in Kansas City as a Lab Analyst I, where you’ll play a key role in supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations through precise analytical testing and data reporting. This is a hands-on lab role ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement.

    About the Role

    As a Lab Analyst I, you’ll perform routine testing on samples in the Analytical Services Laboratory, generating critical data for process control, product development, quality assurance, and waste management. You’ll work in a rotating shift environment, with flexibility to support weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform routine analytical testing following established protocols and work instructions

    + Operate and maintain lab instrumentation, including LIMS, CDS, and other computer systems

    + Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues

    + Prepare solutions, clean glassware, and manage solid/liquid waste disposal

    + Execute raw material and product testing, and accurately record and report results

    + Review analytical data and contribute to process improvement initiatives

    + Communicate testing results to internal customers and alert leadership to discrepancies

    + Support lab safety programs and maintain compliance with RCRA hazardous waste regulations

    + Participate in continuous improvement projects and cross-site initiatives

    + Train others on waste management procedures and lab operations

    Qualifications Required:

    + High school diploma with at least 1 year of lab experience

    + Strong oral and written communication skills

    + High attention to detail and ability to analyze outcomes against standards

    + Ability to diagnose instrument issues and assist others

    + Strong multitasking and time management skills

    Preferred:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field

    + 3+ years of laboratory experience

    + Familiarity with HPLC and GC instrumentation

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
