Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer II
Job Description
Join a dynamic team in the Dayton, OH area as a Manufacturing Engineer II, where you will play a critical role in supporting process development, documentation, and continuous improvement. This position involves working with custom metal fabrication for industrial applications, particularly in the rapidly growing data center sector. You will also assist with new product introduction and occasionally travel for training, investigation, and equipment commissioning.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and document manufacturing processes across fabrication, welding, powder coating, and assembly operations.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Kaizen and 5S.
+ Support new product introduction and collaborate closely with design teams.
+ Utilize AutoCAD and SAP systems for basic tasks such as reviewing prints and accessing production data.
+ Travel occasionally for training, investigation, and equipment commissioning.
Essential Skills
+ 3–5 years of experience in a Process or Manufacturing Engineering role.
+ Familiarity with AutoCAD and SAP systems.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of hands-on experience, or Associate's degree with 8-10 years of hands-on experience.
+ Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen and 5S.
+ Understanding of Lean principles, including lead time reduction and SMED.
+ Interest in growing into design and new product introduction responsibilities.
Work Environment
Work Monday through Thursday in 10-hour shifts with flexible start and end times, ensuring presence from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM to overlap with the second shift team. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $60.10/hr.
