    Job Title: Referral Coordinator

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Referral Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for managing patient referrals, ensuring timely and accurate processing, and facilitating communication between patients, providers, and external healthcare entities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to patient care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Coordinate and process patient referrals to specialists and external providers.

    + Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.

    + Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

    + Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies.

    + Track referral status and follow up to ensure completion.

    + Assist with scheduling appointments and providing patients with referral information.

    + Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.

    + Medical Assistant training/certification preferred

    + Two plus years related experience preferred OR an equivalent combination of education

    + Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    + Knowledge of insurance processes and authorization procedures

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.90 - $24.90/hr.
