Job Title: Civil Project Engineer/PM
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer/PM focused on land development for our DC office. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating site designs and collaborating closely with the office director on both private and public projects in the DC area. This role involves 75% design work, including wastewater, stormwater management, drainage, sewer, and utilities, with the remaining 25% dedicated to project management and client communication.
Responsibilities
+ Create site designs for land development projects, focusing on wastewater, stormwater management, drainage and sewer, and utilities.
+ Work closely with the office director on project planning and execution.
+ Engage in heavy production and design roles while managing project timelines and deliverables.
+ Collaborate with project managers to ensure client expectations are met.
+ Communicate effectively with clients and partners to deliver projects successfully.
Essential Skills
+ 4-10 years of civil engineering experience within land development.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with experience designing using this tool.
+ Experience working on private sector land development projects.
+ EIT Certification or PE License is highly preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
+ Experience working and communicating with clients.
+ Plan to obtain PE license within 6 months if not already held.
Work Environment
The DC office, part of a civil engineering firm with three locations, focuses on site, utility, transportation, and water resources design. The team consists of 8 people, fostering a collaborative and family-oriented culture. The office offers a casual and flexible schedule, allowing for remote work on Thursdays and additional work-from-home options as needed. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
