JOB SUMMARY This position focuses on management of the health system’s medical/surgical supply portfolio. Generates requests for proposal and bid preparation, serves as a liaison between vendors, group purchasing organization and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, analysis of RFP responses, contract compliance tracking and maintenance, supply chain savings tracking, and make recommendations to management regarding contract proposal analysis.

In addition, this position will evaluate spending trends, opportunities to standardize methods of care, create and maintain a standard product formulary, and spearhead category conversions to ensure delivery of top-tier care while maximizing operational and supply spend savings.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED:

+ High School graduate or equivalent required.

+ Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to follow oral and written direction.

+ Must have a high level of experience with computer application skills.

+ Must have experience with contract administration, development, negotiations, tracking and compliance.

+ Must be a critical thinker and problem solver.

+ Must be able to meet timelines and be customer-service focused and detail oriented. Adapts to changes in the work environment.

+ Manages competing demands.

+ Changes approach or method to best fit the situation.

+ Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

PREFERRED:

+ Bachelor's degree preferred

+ Purchasing experience, healthcare background a plus

+ Clinical value analysis experience
