    Description

    Robert Half is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our client's dynamic accounting team in San Diego, CA.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    + Maintain the general ledger by posting routine journal entries and performing reconciliations.

    + Review and analyze invoices for discrepancies or errors; follow up to resolve issues.

    + Prepare and update spreadsheets to assist with financial reporting and analysis.

    + Perform routine banking tasks, including deposit processing and verifying payments.

    + Assist with month-end close activities and other departmental projects as assigned.

    + Manage and organize financial records and documentation to support audits and compliance requirements.

    Requirements

    + High school diploma required; associate degree or coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.

    + 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role preferred.

    + Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.

    + Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge is a plus).

    + Strong competency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools (e.g., pivot tables, data analysis).

    + Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

    + Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

    + Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
