    Job Title: CNC Laser Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate Mazak CNC machines, including both laser and plasma machines, and perform a variety of tasks to ensure efficient production.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate Mazak CNC machines, including laser and plasma machines.

    + Perform daily machine start-up and shutdown procedures.

    + Conduct daily and routine maintenance on laser and plasma machines, including optical alignment and beam focus.

    + Diagnose cut quality issues and monitor assist gas pressures while maintaining gas inventory.

    + Stage raw materials and maintain daily dust collector service.

    + Program CNC machines and assist other laser operators.

    + Maintain area housekeeping, perform maintenance work, and stage materials as needed.

    + Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ year of experience operating CNC Fiber Laser and CNC Plasma cutting machines.

    + Experience with laser and plasma cutting.

    + Proficiency in Mazak CNC machine operation.

    + Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.

    + Ability to learn or have some working knowledge of NC code.

    + Excellent attendance record.

    + Physical ability to lift and/or pull up to 50 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with sheet metal and general machine operation is preferred but not required.

    Work Environment

     

    Our production shop is a clean and well-organized environment, although it is not climate controlled, so temperatures may vary. Steel-toed boots are required for safety.

    This is a Contract position based out of La Grange, Kentucky.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
