Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Job Description

A manufacturer in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join their team for the 1st shift. The role involves working with aluminum or stainless carbon steel sheets and ensuring quality specifications are met.

Responsibilities

+ Manually load aluminum or stainless carbon steel sheets.

+ Use basic math, calipers, and micrometers to ensure quality specifications are met.

+ Change dull punches and other tooling as needed.

+ Form, punch, or cut components for various finished products and prepare them for packaging.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in operating press brakes.

+ Competency in using calipers and micrometers.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Experience in sheet metal fabrication.

+ Skill in CNC press brake and brake press machine operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in machine setup.

+ Knowledge of laser and press machine operations.

+ Welding skills.

Work Environment

This role is within a fabrication shop where the floor is dirty and loud. Although the facility is climate-controlled, the laser room, which houses large presses and lasers, can be hot due to machinery heat.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
