Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Building and Maintenance Technician for an industrial metal manufacturing company. The role involves performing maintenance tasks on the facility as well as heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventative maintenance on metal manufacturing machines.

+ Troubleshoot and repair metal manufacturing machines.

+ Address minor repairs throughout the facility, such as patching, painting, and replacing hardware.

+ Identify and resolve issues with building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.

+ Perform tasks like lubricating parts, inspecting components, and ensuring proper functionality.

+ Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including fixtures, pipes, and drainage systems.

+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and other electrical components.

+ Utilize computerized diagnostic tools to assess crane condition and identify problems.

+ Replace worn or damaged parts, perform necessary repairs, and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

+ Maintain detailed logs of maintenance and repair work.

+ Adhere to strict safety protocols and ensure all work is performed safely.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in electrical, plumbing, and facilities maintenance.

+ Proficiency with motors, heavy equipment, machine maintenance, and crane service.

+ Knowledge of wiring, electrical systems, sprockets, chains, and lubrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with boom lift operations.

+ 3-month training on 1st shift (5:00am-1:30pm) followed by a move to 2nd shift (1:30pm-10:00pm).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Carson, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $29.00/hr.
