Hiring Press Brake Operator in Hanover, MD
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team for the second shift. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in bending sheet metal and will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings to process materials through the press brake. The ability to speak English is preferred, and knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
+ Program press brake and enter dimensional information into the software.
+ Make necessary adjustments to angles and flange length corrections.
+ Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machine settings and material requirements.
+ Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and make necessary adjustments.
+ Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs when needed.
+ Keep a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols and procedures.
+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and production schedules.
+ Document production activities and maintain accurate records of materials used and products produced.
Essential Skills
+ 1-3 years of experience operating a press brake machine, specifically in bending sheet metal.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Basic mechanical skills and understanding of press brake operations.
+ Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
+ Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
+ Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment
Work in a brand new facility, with approximately 200-250 people on site once at full headcount. The manufacturing floor environment includes exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Candidates are required to wear steel-toed boots and safety glasses, which will be provided. Wear long pants and long sleeves or cut-resistant sleeves, which will be supplied. Leggings are not permitted; pants must be of thicker material. Be prepared to stand or walk for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25-50 lbs. Work is on a rotating shift, 2-2-3 schedule, from 6 am to 6 pm. Initial training will take place during a standard Monday-Friday schedule.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
