Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing both preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment. This includes production machinery, boilers, cooling towers, and other production-related systems. The technician will ensure equipment reliability, workplace safety, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

+ Perform emergency electrical and mechanical maintenance on production line machinery.

+ Install and commission new machinery, both electrical and mechanical.

+ Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, including hydraulics, 480V 3-phase motors, and PLCs.

+ Conduct inspections to ensure equipment meets operational standards.

+ Execute preventive maintenance programs as directed.

+ Maintain documentation and logs for repairs and inspections.

+ Support quality systems and safety protocols.

+ Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth shift transitions.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.

+ Familiarity with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.

+ Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.

+ Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work at heights.

+ Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one within 14 days.

+ Basic understanding of HMIs, PLCs, and manufacturing controls.

Shift

+ Monday to Friday 12pm - 8:30pm

+ Some overtime

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $33.00/hr.
