    Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient financial transactions, maintaining organized records, and supporting the accounting team in day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AP and AR functions, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Accounts Payable (AP):

    + Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper approvals and coding.

    + Manage the payment cycle, including issuing checks, ACH transactions, and wire transfers.

    + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.

    + Maintain updated records of accounts payable transactions.

    Accounts Receivable (AR):

    + Generate customer invoices in accordance with contractual terms.

    + Monitor receivables and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection.

    + Process customer payments and record cash receipts accurately.

    + Reconcile AR-related transactions and manage customer account balances.

    + Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

    + Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.

    + Collaborate with internal teams on resolving AP/AR issues and improving processes.

    + Support auditing activities by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

    + Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

    + Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

    + Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.

    + Solid communication skills for collaborating with vendors, customers, and team members.

    + Basic understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
