Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Bellevue, Washington. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with tax regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting to contribute to a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns in compliance with applicable laws.

• Manage sales tax calculations and ensure timely submissions.

• Record and review journal entries to maintain accuracy in financial records.

• Oversee the general ledger to ensure proper accounting practices are followed.

• Perform regular reconciliations to verify financial data integrity.

• Support audits and provide necessary documentation for review processes.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on financial matters.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.

• Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations. Requirements • Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance.

• Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and processes.

• Proficiency in managing corporate tax returns and related documentation.

• Expertise in journal entries and general ledger management.

• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
